Sebastopol Hillside

This Sebastopol home, designed by Michael Hennessey Architecture was a major renovation of an existing three-story house to a more contemporary design. The entire upper floor and roof was removed and rebuilt, and all doors and windows are new.  The expanse of windows on the North face frame a stunning view of the Sebastopol hills in the foreground and out to Mount St. Helena beyond. The exterior is a mix of integral color stucco and painted Hardie panels, the interior walls and ceilings are drywall. The floors of the living room, kitchen, and exterior landings are large ceramic tile, and the stairs, office, and bedrooms are engineered Walnut.  Deck railing frames are powder coated steel with stainless steel cables and the pool deck boards are Apex, a composite material.
